Jewelry & PMC Classes
Have you ever wished you could design and craft your own jewelry? Have you ever thought about creating your own designs in pure silver?
I regularly offer classes and demonstrations in both jewelrymaking and precious metal clay, or “PMC.”
Jewelrymaking – I offer beginning and advanced classed in designing and assembling necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins and other jewelry. A typical class consists of two four-hour sessions, with a usual maximum of eight students – this allows for plenty of personal attention and guidance.
Students learn tool selection and use, jewelry design fundamentals, how to choose and incorporate components to realize a design, and crafting tips and secrets. I also tell students where to buy components – beads, findings, mineral specimens, pendants, pearls, etc. – and how to get the best deal. At the completion of a June’s Jools jewelrymaking class, each student leaves with several pieces of their own design, made by their own hands!
Precious Metal Clay – As a certified PMC instructor, I am qualified to teach beginning and advanced classes in this exciting medium, where you can shape the clay-like PMC into virtually any design you desire, then it’s fired at high temperature to become a pure silver creation!
The best part is, after you complete a June’s Jools PMC class, you will have several beautiful silver jewelry pieces of your own design to wear and treasure forever, or give as special gifts!
Demonstrations – Several times a year, I set up free demonstrations to show the general public what PMC is all about. I also am invited to show PMC techniques to groups such as clubs, arts organizations and business groups.
Upcoming classes and demonstrations will be announced on the right sidebar of this website. Class tuition does not include the cost of materials used by students to make their jewelry.
