Our founder was a lizard!

June’s Jools began with my love of nature, and was inspired by my beloved chameleon, Mel, who taught me a lot about reptiles and their surprising personalities.

It started like a lot of businesses do, in my garage, where I set up a card table to make glitzy lizard pins. Mel often sat on my head while I worked.  Soon, I was selling hundreds of those pins a month – to museums, zoos, art galleries, boutiques, and at my own shows.

I still make them, and they’re fun, eye-catching and affordable!

My Nature Pins are made from rigid vinyl, and are models of real creatures – lizards, sea turtles, insects, fish, crabs, sea stars and amphibians.  Each pin is an original: No two are alike.

The pinbacks are mounted with miniature screws – no glue to come loose.  This premium construction also allows for easy repair should the pinback ever get damaged.  The pins are lightweight, even washable.

Any pin can be purchased alone, or mounted on an artificial leaf, which can remain with the pins when it’s worn for a very showy display.

Did I mention my Nature Pins are affordable?  Prices range from $5 for a small lizard pin to about $25 for a large, ornate sea turtle.  There’s also a line of simpler pins for kids that are priced at $3 each.

No matter what the size or price, each pin always is an original and features the screwed-together construction.
